{"text":" Hey, no, co. It feels like summer is finally here. I spent the week in George Town, but I did have to carry a key at a local bar. So that was fun. What did you think? We sang before he cheats by Carrie Underbar. But then it kind of became like this was like a one-room bar. So it kind of became whatever anyone was singing. The whole one was singing. Yes. So except Ben who did not participate even though we begged him just to sing tequila. But welcome to the Noco Pulse where we're keeping our finger on the pulse of what's going on in the Northern Colorado community. So that you are up to date on business and community news. I'm Kurt Erick. I'm the owner and founder of Locoh Think Tank and the host of the Locoh Experience Podcast. And I'm Kelsey Harris, the owner of this is Noco and Discover Noco Magazine. And now let's get into what's moving in Noco with the on the move segment. It's sponsored by miles beyond running community. And their next two races are very much seasonally inspired to celebrate USA 250 in Colorado 150. The red white and brew race is coming up on June 20th. And that starts and finishes at the grain house at the rain dance golf course in Windsor. 5K 10K half marathon and ruck races. And the Freedom 5K is in Greeley on the morning of July 4th. So for both events it's totally appropriate to put your best Uncle Sam or leave a liberty on. Let's bust out those flag shorts. I'll be there as the MC of the Freedom 5K for my second year in a row. So sign up and let me know that you heard about it on the Noco Pulse. Stop by and say, hey, what's moving in Noco Kurt? Well, my heart is moving to be honest. I learned this morning that one of my dear friends Matthew Fugate died yesterday under unclear circumstances. And Matthew subbed for me in the Wild West relay back in 2020. We've known each other for seven or eight years. And he ran a couple more Wild West relay races and was on my podcast with his then girlfriend later fiancee Gabrielle Judge, who's a online influencer as well. And he and Gabby were on my podcast episode 197. The day after Trump was elected and Matthew was a big mega guy. And so in your honor and at risk of consolation by Kelsey or the rest of the crew online. Matthew, this one's for you. I'm going to miss you, but he's so and Godspeed, Gabby. Much love to you. Reach out to me if I can do anything. That's I now remember you talking about them coming once you said she was an influencer. Yeah, she's the anti-work girl box. Yes, I do remember that. So that's I yeah, our hearts are with her and with his family. Yeah, and kind of the community. So sorry for starting on such a downer note, but I just got to pay some tribute to the man. Yeah, those are important things. The legend. Those are the things that move us are those people that come into our life and kind of stick with us. So it's unfortunate that this is how we are. You're wondering why you recognize it name. He was on the bus benches. It was like we're a good time in real estate. He was very controversial for a while. But you know, that's how you get notice. Yeah, he did a great job. But so we're thinking of him. So what have you found moving? I know we'll go back. But what's moving for me is a new food truck is moving into town. And I know I know we're probably all thinking we have so many food trucks already. There's a whole rally focused on it. But I can pretty much guarantee that this one will become a staple in the Northern Colorado community. This food truck is being done by chef fat Dan who Ben and I have had the pleasure of working with over the last year and a half ish. It was actually a big inspiration for the shift from no co date nights to this is no co and telling his story. He was the head chef at the time at Locust Cider, which then closed in January of this year and not due to any problems with our own tap room or restaurant. He actually actually had had their best year, the year prior, but the overall Locust Cider brand which is based out of Washington was having some problems and closed all of their tap rooms except their home base in Washington. So not our fault. Their food is amazing. But chef fat Dan has spent the last six months kind of figuring out what's next. And he just announced last week that it is chef fat Dan's all in kitchen that is coming. His slogan is take whisks go all in and I think that's very fun. He has not announced an opening date yet, but I did check out a preview of the menu and some of our favorites from Locust Cider were on it with some new additions. I'm not sure if it will be 100% celiac safe. Locust Cider was celiac safe and he had kind of taken inspiration that since Cider is already glued free, why not just go all in. So I'm not sure if the food truck will continue that, but I did see some of our favorites on there, but shout out to chef fat Dan. We cannot wait to try it all in. Have fun out there. We'll be telling you all about it and I can trust that he knows everything about the wines in South Africa. So that's Tuesday the 9th at 6 p.m. If you can't grab this one, he does one every month with like a different flayer. So grab to their head to their website and grab your tickets for next month if you can't get to this one. Cool. But where else are we gathering? Well, the Fort Collins Aggies FC is a pre-professional freshly launched soccer team that's in alignment with CSU. And they've had their first two games already, the May 31st, June 3rd. But they're also like an expansion team for the women's professional soccer league. And so it could become something really cool. And I have June 19th and 25th of their last two home games. Okay. And that's at the soccer field at Mobile Arena. And you can go to their website www.weareggiesfc.com. Okay. Yeah, that's definitely worth it. And I'm having two of the coaches leading ladies involved, Keely Hagen and Jamie Beamer Halsey on my podcast on June 22nd. Oh, very exciting. Yeah, I was like, that's perfect timing. Stay tuned for that. That'll probably come out in mid to late July, but I'll look forward to learning a lot more about that effort then. Yeah, that's, I've seen their logo around. And for a while, couldn't quite pinpoint what it was. Yep. And so then I think last week I finally figured out that it's a soccer team. So it's very exciting. Well, you got gathering. The Foco Fringe Festival is back. It took a six year hiatus after COVID when kind of we weren't gathering at all. And now it is back with new leadership. It is running next weekend, the 11th through 14th, kind of all over think like a Foco MX style venue situation where it's all spread out over town. Some of the events are free and you don't need tickets to get in. Some you do need tickets. So head to the Foco Fringe website to kind of gauge which ones are free. They have a whole schedule happening. Over 50 performances happening, Foco Fringe, I had never heard of a Fringe Festival before. Apparently, it's kind of a national thing. There are some of the free events before and some of which are even outdoors. Yes, some of them. And it seems that they're kind of all over. It's supposed to be the unexpected, the beautiful, the raw, all in theater, film, dance, kind of the performing arts realm. So check that out this next weekend. The Noco beat is our music and our segment. And it features things that we think would be fun to check out the community as well. Yeah, I'm sticking in the performing arts realm. This week and open stage theater company is starting the Mary Wives of Windsor. They will run that will run this week June 11th, which is actually a pay what you can. So if you really are wanting to go see that, but you just can't afford the tickets this Thursday June 11th is pay what you can. And it'll run on most weekend days until July 11th. There are some where they, there are other things happening. That is at the Center for Creativity. Regular price tickets start at $18. So head over and grab tickets for that. Very cool. I noticed that Yonder Mountain String Band is at Mishawaka on June 13th. General admission tickets are $50, which is pretty much standard for a show. Yeah, definitely. And I was sticking to myself, man. These guys have been around forever and I looked it up and they actually formed the year before I moved to Colorado, which was 1999 in Netherlands. Oh, wow. And they're like an OG jam graph, which is kind of bluegrass plus fusion rocks psychedelic. Okay. And it's a good time. I don't think I could tell you what that would sound like at all. So now I'm going to have to look it up. It's, it's like improved bluegrass. Okay. Right. Yeah, I'm here for that. Like groovy blues. But so we've got music. You've got arts. And now we've got community supporting communities. And this is brought to you by Breast Through Car Wash, who takes so much of their time and effort to make sure that our community is clean, running well and is supported in any way that they can. And so this is one extra way that they can do that. So we are sponsoring looking at the 19th annual taste event. This used to be the taste of Loveland. And it's kind of rebranded to just the taste and they're touring you through Northern Colorado, so not just Loveland restaurants and chefs. And this is a fundraiser for foothills gateway and some at Stone Child and Family Services. And so those services really support families and staying together and people that have disabilities and ways that they need services. They do a whole lot of stuff in our community. Tickets start at $70 and it is Thursday, the 11th, everything is Thursday. So I guess you're going to have to pick and choose what you're doing this week. But definitely check out the taste. It is at the Forge Event Center, which is also a great event center in Loveland. It's kind of hidden in the old age building. But it's a great place once you get inside. It's where grandbrothers is. Yes, it is. And the event center will be like next door to the grandbrothers location. So if you're looking for it. Great. Awesome. On my community support community, I've got an event I learned about the Stronger Together Summit. And that is a nonprofit leaders gathering down a TPC golf club in Berthed. And it will have about 150 nonprofit leaders. Half day of networking, interactive workout, breakout, breakout sessions. And practical collaboration, really helping them not try to do everything all themselves, but to really understand who does what really well. Okay. And so helping nonprofits work together better. Yeah, which that is needed and I've never heard of that. Yeah, so check out how it's the Stronger Together Summit. There's a whole series of different kind of topical things, but this is their biggest annual gathering. Okay, very nice down in Berthed. Correct. Oh, and that's June July 30th. Okay. So you're not probably leaders or you nonprofit supporters, board members, let your leaders know about this event. Yeah, we still have time to get in. And that kind of puts us right in a good networking space for nonprofits. And then what's happening in the business world? Well, in the business world, I wanted to spotlight this week the Fort Collins Country Club. They are just completing a major remodel of the restaurant and clubhouse area. And they've really brought that club up to modern standards over the last few years. We're holding our fourth annual local next level summit there on September 17th. And I was stoked to see it and get a tour and all the new finishes and entities. And I hear from we've got several many even local think tank members that are members of the country club and membership. And enthusiasm is at a 20 year high. Wow, that's great. Young families, kids, busy pools. And so shout out to the Fort Collins Country Club. We've been around for a long time. And the kudos to the management board for apparently trying to get up into the right. Awesome. Yeah, I'd have to check that out. I don't think I've been to the country club since I was like 13 and I would go swimming with a friend. That's right. And the pool is way nicer now. I promise. So that's really check that out. But so we all have to eat. And in the summertime, I feel like food options like come out of the word work. I will probably be talking about the foco food truck rally every week because we try to try to try something new. And so this week is no exception. And so I tried tacos Diablo for the first time. And it was delicious. The first thing that caught my eye though was that they were lowering their prices when we walked up. So I'm not sure why I don't know if they weren't getting the traction of the other food trucks at the rally. They decided to adjust, but it worked because as I walked up, then a line formed behind me. So I love that they could adjust and make things work to kind of make the rally work for them. But I love an orchata and theirs was delicious. It has kind of like that grainy in the bottom where you know that they mixed it in the cup. It was so good. So that was delicious. I also had a carne asada burrito. Also very good. We did have the quesabarilla and the sauce was a little different than most burritos that I've had. So you might want to check that out and just kind of compare and see which one you like more. What are you eating this week? I cooked for me in Jill last night something that's a little unconventional. But really any listener can do something like this. I'll call it leftover hash. Okay. So I had a few slices of smoked brisket. A couple of big potatoes that I smoked in the same smoker. Jill had a leftover breakfast taco from Silver Grill. I had about a third of my bless you of my fun day at Pisa from the Elecrunch. And so I kind of just chopped it up all in a similar size. Mix it together, fry it in a cast iron pan. And you can add some onions or garlic to it or something if you wanted to. On medium heat. And then eventually when it's all kind of crispy edges and stuff scrape it to one side. Fry two eggs over easy or sunny side up if you like them that way. And then you just serve the hash with the yoke yoke egg on top of the hash runs all together. And it is, it's a great way to, you know, I have cleaning out the fridge soup sometimes. Yes. This is kind of like leftover hash. It's a summertime thing instead. Okay, something you don't know about me is I really don't like leftovers. So this seems like it's all together, fried in a pan. So I'm like, okay, no, this is a new meal. The thing about food is if you put a bunch of good stuff together, it almost always turns out pretty good. Yes. So that's the tip for the week you can have cleaning out the fridge hash whenever you find the need. Yes, that's so we're going to have to try that so that I actually eat my leftovers and then doesn't have to eat them all. There you go. That's well, you know, over here we love local and supporting local. And so let us know what you are doing this week. My sister-in-law actually got to go and check out the new downtown Greeley Edison's. You know, we talked about it opening a couple weeks ago. She said it is as amazing as we would expect. And so definitely head over and check that out. But I would love to know what you guys are doing in some of the smaller towns. We'd love a shout out in a Timnith or Johnstown or Berthin. What are we doing to support local there and where should I check out? And so let us know I need some new ideas. So have a great week, Noca. Thanks, Kelsey.","word_count":3162,"segments":[{"start":0,"end":3.5,"text":" Hey, no, co. It feels like summer is finally here.\n\n2\n00:00:10.000 --> 00:00:21.000\n I spent the week in George Town, but I did have to carry a key at a local bar. So that was fun. What did you think?\n\n3\n00:00:21.000 --> 00:00:24.000\n We sang before he cheats by Carrie Underbar.\n\n4\n00:00:26.000 --> 00:00:32.000\n But then it kind of became like this was like a one-room bar. So it kind of became whatever anyone was singing.\n\n5\n00:00:32.000 --> 00:00:34.000\n The whole one was singing. Yes.\n\n6\n00:00:34.000 --> 00:00:40.000\n So except Ben who did not participate even though we begged him just to sing tequila.\n\n7\n00:00:40.000 --> 00:00:51.000\n But welcome to the Noco Pulse where we're keeping our finger on the pulse of what's going on in the Northern Colorado community.\n\n8\n00:00:51.000 --> 00:00:54.000\n So that you are up to date on business and community news.\n\n9\n00:00:54.000 --> 00:00:59.000\n I'm Kurt Erick. I'm the owner and founder of Locoh Think Tank and the host of the Locoh Experience Podcast.\n\n10\n00:00:59.000 --> 00:01:03.000\n And I'm Kelsey Harris, the owner of this is Noco and Discover Noco Magazine.\n\n11\n00:01:04.000 --> 00:01:10.000\n And now let's get into what's moving in Noco with the on the move segment. It's sponsored by miles beyond running community.\n\n12\n00:01:10.000 --> 00:01:17.000\n And their next two races are very much seasonally inspired to celebrate USA 250 in Colorado 150.\n\n13\n00:01:17.000 --> 00:01:25.000\n The red white and brew race is coming up on June 20th. And that starts and finishes at the grain house at the rain dance golf course in Windsor.\n\n14\n00:01:25.000 --> 00:01:32.000\n 5K 10K half marathon and ruck races. And the Freedom 5K is in Greeley on the morning of July 4th.\n\n15\n00:01:32.000 --> 00:01:37.000\n So for both events it's totally appropriate to put your best Uncle Sam or leave a liberty on.\n\n16\n00:01:37.000 --> 00:01:42.000\n Let's bust out those flag shorts. I'll be there as the MC of the Freedom 5K for my second year in a row.\n\n17\n00:01:42.000 --> 00:01:45.000\n So sign up and let me know that you heard about it on the Noco Pulse.\n\n18\n00:01:45.000 --> 00:01:49.000\n Stop by and say, hey, what's moving in Noco Kurt?\n\n19\n00:01:49.000 --> 00:01:59.000\n Well, my heart is moving to be honest. I learned this morning that one of my dear friends Matthew Fugate died yesterday under unclear circumstances.\n\n20\n00:01:59.000 --> 00:02:05.000\n And Matthew subbed for me in the Wild West relay back in 2020. We've known each other for seven or eight years.\n\n21\n00:02:05.000 --> 00:02:17.000\n And he ran a couple more Wild West relay races and was on my podcast with his then girlfriend later fiancee Gabrielle Judge, who's a online influencer as well.\n\n22\n00:02:17.000 --> 00:02:28.000\n And he and Gabby were on my podcast episode 197. The day after Trump was elected and Matthew was a big mega guy.\n\n23\n00:02:28.000 --> 00:02:34.000\n And so in your honor and at risk of consolation by Kelsey or the rest of the crew online.\n\n24\n00:02:34.000 --> 00:02:39.000\n Matthew, this one's for you. I'm going to miss you, but he's so and Godspeed, Gabby.\n\n25\n00:02:39.000 --> 00:02:42.000\n Much love to you. Reach out to me if I can do anything.\n\n26\n00:02:42.000 --> 00:02:49.000\n That's I now remember you talking about them coming once you said she was an influencer. Yeah, she's the anti-work girl box.\n\n27\n00:02:49.000 --> 00:02:56.000\n Yes, I do remember that. So that's I yeah, our hearts are with her and with his family. Yeah, and kind of the community.\n\n28\n00:02:56.000 --> 00:03:02.000\n So sorry for starting on such a downer note, but I just got to pay some tribute to the man. Yeah, those are important things.\n\n29\n00:03:02.000 --> 00:03:08.000\n The legend. Those are the things that move us are those people that come into our life and kind of stick with us.\n\n30\n00:03:08.000 --> 00:03:15.000\n So it's unfortunate that this is how we are. You're wondering why you recognize it name. He was on the bus benches.\n\n31\n00:03:15.000 --> 00:03:20.000\n It was like we're a good time in real estate. He was very controversial for a while.\n\n32\n00:03:20.000 --> 00:03:26.000\n But you know, that's how you get notice. Yeah, he did a great job. But so we're thinking of him.\n\n33\n00:03:26.000 --> 00:03:34.000\n So what have you found moving? I know we'll go back. But what's moving for me is a new food truck is moving into town.\n\n34\n00:03:34.000 --> 00:03:40.000\n And I know I know we're probably all thinking we have so many food trucks already. There's a whole rally focused on it.\n\n35\n00:03:40.000 --> 00:03:46.000\n But I can pretty much guarantee that this one will become a staple in the Northern Colorado community.\n\n36\n00:03:46.000 --> 00:03:55.000\n This food truck is being done by chef fat Dan who Ben and I have had the pleasure of working with over the last year and a half ish.\n\n37\n00:03:55.000 --> 00:04:03.000\n It was actually a big inspiration for the shift from no co date nights to this is no co and telling his story.\n\n38\n00:04:03.000 --> 00:04:13.000\n He was the head chef at the time at Locust Cider, which then closed in January of this year and not due to any problems with our own tap room or restaurant.\n\n39\n00:04:13.000 --> 00:04:27.000\n He actually actually had had their best year, the year prior, but the overall Locust Cider brand which is based out of Washington was having some problems and closed all of their tap rooms except their home base in Washington.\n\n40\n00:04:27.000 --> 00:04:36.000\n So not our fault. Their food is amazing. But chef fat Dan has spent the last six months kind of figuring out what's next.\n\n41\n00:04:36.000 --> 00:04:47.000\n And he just announced last week that it is chef fat Dan's all in kitchen that is coming. His slogan is take whisks go all in and I think that's very fun.\n\n42\n00:04:47.000 --> 00:04:58.000\n He has not announced an opening date yet, but I did check out a preview of the menu and some of our favorites from Locust Cider were on it with some new additions.\n\n43\n00:04:58.000 --> 00:05:10.000\n I'm not sure if it will be 100% celiac safe. Locust Cider was celiac safe and he had kind of taken inspiration that since Cider is already glued free, why not just go all in.\n\n44\n00:05:10.000 --> 00:05:18.000\n So I'm not sure if the food truck will continue that, but I did see some of our favorites on there, but shout out to chef fat Dan. We cannot wait to try it all in.\n\n45\n00:05:18.000 --> 00:05:20.000\n Have fun out there.\n\n46\n00:05:49.000 --> 00:05:55.000\n We'll be telling you all about it and I can trust that he knows everything about the wines in South Africa.\n\n47\n00:05:55.000 --> 00:06:01.000\n So that's Tuesday the 9th at 6 p.m. If you can't grab this one, he does one every month with like a different flayer.\n\n48\n00:06:01.000 --> 00:06:06.000\n So grab to their head to their website and grab your tickets for next month if you can't get to this one.\n\n49\n00:06:06.000 --> 00:06:08.000\n Cool. But where else are we gathering?\n\n50\n00:06:08.000 --> 00:06:16.000\n Well, the Fort Collins Aggies FC is a pre-professional freshly launched soccer team that's in alignment with CSU.\n\n51\n00:06:16.000 --> 00:06:25.000\n And they've had their first two games already, the May 31st, June 3rd. But they're also like an expansion team for the women's professional soccer league.\n\n52\n00:06:25.000 --> 00:06:33.000\n And so it could become something really cool. And I have June 19th and 25th of their last two home games.\n\n53\n00:06:33.000 --> 00:06:34.000\n Okay.\n\n54\n00:06:34.000 --> 00:06:41.000\n And that's at the soccer field at Mobile Arena. And you can go to their website www.weareggiesfc.com.\n\n55\n00:06:41.000 --> 00:06:42.000\n Okay.\n\n56\n00:06:43.000 --> 00:06:45.000\n Yeah, that's definitely worth it.\n\n57\n00:06:45.000 --> 00:06:56.000\n And I'm having two of the coaches leading ladies involved, Keely Hagen and Jamie Beamer Halsey on my podcast on June 22nd.\n\n58\n00:06:56.000 --> 00:06:57.000\n Oh, very exciting.\n\n59\n00:06:57.000 --> 00:06:59.000\n Yeah, I was like, that's perfect timing.\n\n60\n00:06:59.000 --> 00:07:05.000\n Stay tuned for that. That'll probably come out in mid to late July, but I'll look forward to learning a lot more about that effort then.\n\n61\n00:07:05.000 --> 00:07:10.000\n Yeah, that's, I've seen their logo around. And for a while, couldn't quite pinpoint what it was.\n\n62\n00:07:10.000 --> 00:07:11.000\n Yep.\n\n63\n00:07:11.000 --> 00:07:15.000\n And so then I think last week I finally figured out that it's a soccer team. So it's very exciting.\n\n64\n00:07:15.000 --> 00:07:17.000\n Well, you got gathering.\n\n65\n00:07:17.000 --> 00:07:25.000\n The Foco Fringe Festival is back. It took a six year hiatus after COVID when kind of we weren't gathering at all.\n\n66\n00:07:26.000 --> 00:07:28.000\n And now it is back with new leadership.\n\n67\n00:07:28.000 --> 00:07:39.000\n It is running next weekend, the 11th through 14th, kind of all over think like a Foco MX style venue situation where it's all spread out over town.\n\n68\n00:07:39.000 --> 00:07:44.000\n Some of the events are free and you don't need tickets to get in. Some you do need tickets.\n\n69\n00:07:44.000 --> 00:07:50.000\n So head to the Foco Fringe website to kind of gauge which ones are free. They have a whole schedule happening.\n\n70\n00:07:50.000 --> 00:07:56.000\n Over 50 performances happening, Foco Fringe, I had never heard of a Fringe Festival before.\n\n71\n00:07:56.000 --> 00:08:02.000\n Apparently, it's kind of a national thing. There are some of the free events before and some of which are even outdoors.\n\n72\n00:08:02.000 --> 00:08:12.000\n Yes, some of them. And it seems that they're kind of all over. It's supposed to be the unexpected, the beautiful, the raw, all in theater, film, dance, kind of the performing arts realm.\n\n73\n00:08:12.000 --> 00:08:14.000\n So check that out this next weekend.\n\n74\n00:08:15.000 --> 00:08:23.000\n The Noco beat is our music and our segment. And it features things that we think would be fun to check out the community as well.\n\n75\n00:08:23.000 --> 00:08:26.000\n Yeah, I'm sticking in the performing arts realm.\n\n76\n00:08:26.000 --> 00:08:31.000\n This week and open stage theater company is starting the Mary Wives of Windsor.\n\n77\n00:08:31.000 --> 00:08:36.000\n They will run that will run this week June 11th, which is actually a pay what you can.\n\n78\n00:08:37.000 --> 00:08:43.000\n So if you really are wanting to go see that, but you just can't afford the tickets this Thursday June 11th is pay what you can.\n\n79\n00:08:43.000 --> 00:08:50.000\n And it'll run on most weekend days until July 11th. There are some where they, there are other things happening.\n\n80\n00:08:50.000 --> 00:08:56.000\n That is at the Center for Creativity. Regular price tickets start at $18. So head over and grab tickets for that.\n\n81\n00:08:56.000 --> 00:09:02.000\n Very cool. I noticed that Yonder Mountain String Band is at Mishawaka on June 13th.\n\n82\n00:09:03.000 --> 00:09:06.000\n General admission tickets are $50, which is pretty much standard for a show.\n\n83\n00:09:06.000 --> 00:09:09.000\n Yeah, definitely. And I was sticking to myself, man.\n\n84\n00:09:09.000 --> 00:09:18.000\n These guys have been around forever and I looked it up and they actually formed the year before I moved to Colorado, which was 1999 in Netherlands.\n\n85\n00:09:18.000 --> 00:09:19.000\n Oh, wow.\n\n86\n00:09:19.000 --> 00:09:26.000\n And they're like an OG jam graph, which is kind of bluegrass plus fusion rocks psychedelic.\n\n87\n00:09:26.000 --> 00:09:27.000\n Okay. And it's a good time.\n\n88\n00:09:27.000 --> 00:09:31.000\n I don't think I could tell you what that would sound like at all. So now I'm going to have to look it up.\n\n89\n00:09:31.000 --> 00:09:34.000\n It's, it's like improved bluegrass.\n\n90\n00:09:34.000 --> 00:09:38.000\n Okay. Right. Yeah, I'm here for that. Like groovy blues.\n\n91\n00:09:38.000 --> 00:09:44.000\n But so we've got music. You've got arts. And now we've got community supporting communities.\n\n92\n00:09:44.000 --> 00:09:52.000\n And this is brought to you by Breast Through Car Wash, who takes so much of their time and effort to make sure that our community is clean,\n\n93\n00:09:52.000 --> 00:09:55.000\n running well and is supported in any way that they can.\n\n94\n00:09:55.000 --> 00:09:58.000\n And so this is one extra way that they can do that.\n\n95\n00:09:59.000 --> 00:10:04.000\n So we are sponsoring looking at the 19th annual taste event.\n\n96\n00:10:04.000 --> 00:10:06.000\n This used to be the taste of Loveland.\n\n97\n00:10:06.000 --> 00:10:14.000\n And it's kind of rebranded to just the taste and they're touring you through Northern Colorado, so not just Loveland restaurants and chefs.\n\n98\n00:10:14.000 --> 00:10:21.000\n And this is a fundraiser for foothills gateway and some at Stone Child and Family Services.\n\n99\n00:10:21.000 --> 00:10:29.000\n And so those services really support families and staying together and people that have disabilities and ways that they need services.\n\n100\n00:10:29.000 --> 00:10:31.000\n They do a whole lot of stuff in our community.\n\n101\n00:10:31.000 --> 00:10:36.000\n Tickets start at $70 and it is Thursday, the 11th, everything is Thursday.\n\n102\n00:10:36.000 --> 00:10:39.000\n So I guess you're going to have to pick and choose what you're doing this week.\n\n103\n00:10:39.000 --> 00:10:46.000\n But definitely check out the taste. It is at the Forge Event Center, which is also a great event center in Loveland.\n\n104\n00:10:46.000 --> 00:10:49.000\n It's kind of hidden in the old age building.\n\n105\n00:10:49.000 --> 00:10:51.000\n But it's a great place once you get inside.\n\n106\n00:10:51.000 --> 00:10:52.000\n It's where grandbrothers is.\n\n107\n00:10:52.000 --> 00:10:56.000\n Yes, it is. And the event center will be like next door to the grandbrothers location.\n\n108\n00:10:56.000 --> 00:10:57.000\n So if you're looking for it.\n\n109\n00:10:57.000 --> 00:10:58.000\n Great.\n\n110\n00:10:58.000 --> 00:10:59.000\n Awesome.\n\n111\n00:10:59.000 --> 00:11:04.000\n On my community support community, I've got an event I learned about the Stronger Together Summit.\n\n112\n00:11:04.000 --> 00:11:10.000\n And that is a nonprofit leaders gathering down a TPC golf club in Berthed.\n\n113\n00:11:10.000 --> 00:11:14.000\n And it will have about 150 nonprofit leaders.\n\n114\n00:11:14.000 --> 00:11:18.000\n Half day of networking, interactive workout, breakout, breakout sessions.\n\n115\n00:11:18.000 --> 00:11:26.000\n And practical collaboration, really helping them not try to do everything all themselves, but to really understand who does what really well.\n\n116\n00:11:26.000 --> 00:11:27.000\n Okay.\n\n117\n00:11:27.000 --> 00:11:30.000\n And so helping nonprofits work together better.\n\n118\n00:11:30.000 --> 00:11:32.000\n Yeah, which that is needed and I've never heard of that.\n\n119\n00:11:32.000 --> 00:11:34.000\n Yeah, so check out how it's the Stronger Together Summit.\n\n120\n00:11:34.000 --> 00:11:39.000\n There's a whole series of different kind of topical things, but this is their biggest annual gathering.\n\n121\n00:11:39.000 --> 00:11:41.000\n Okay, very nice down in Berthed.\n\n122\n00:11:41.000 --> 00:11:42.000\n Correct.\n\n123\n00:11:42.000 --> 00:11:43.000\n Oh, and that's June July 30th.\n\n124\n00:11:43.000 --> 00:11:44.000\n Okay.\n\n125\n00:11:44.000 --> 00:11:50.000\n So you're not probably leaders or you nonprofit supporters, board members, let your leaders know about this event.\n\n126\n00:11:50.000 --> 00:11:52.000\n Yeah, we still have time to get in.\n\n127\n00:11:52.000 --> 00:11:56.000\n And that kind of puts us right in a good networking space for nonprofits.\n\n128\n00:11:56.000 --> 00:11:58.000\n And then what's happening in the business world?\n\n129\n00:11:58.000 --> 00:12:02.000\n Well, in the business world, I wanted to spotlight this week the Fort Collins Country Club.\n\n130\n00:12:02.000 --> 00:12:07.000\n They are just completing a major remodel of the restaurant and clubhouse area.\n\n131\n00:12:07.000 --> 00:12:12.000\n And they've really brought that club up to modern standards over the last few years.\n\n132\n00:12:12.000 --> 00:12:17.000\n We're holding our fourth annual local next level summit there on September 17th.\n\n133\n00:12:17.000 --> 00:12:22.000\n And I was stoked to see it and get a tour and all the new finishes and entities.\n\n134\n00:12:22.000 --> 00:12:30.000\n And I hear from we've got several many even local think tank members that are members of the country club and membership.\n\n135\n00:12:30.000 --> 00:12:32.000\n And enthusiasm is at a 20 year high.\n\n136\n00:12:32.000 --> 00:12:33.000\n Wow, that's great.\n\n137\n00:12:33.000 --> 00:12:36.000\n Young families, kids, busy pools.\n\n138\n00:12:36.000 --> 00:12:39.000\n And so shout out to the Fort Collins Country Club.\n\n139\n00:12:39.000 --> 00:12:41.000\n We've been around for a long time.\n\n140\n00:12:41.000 --> 00:12:46.000\n And the kudos to the management board for apparently trying to get up into the right.\n\n141\n00:12:46.000 --> 00:12:48.000\n Awesome. Yeah, I'd have to check that out.\n\n142\n00:12:48.000 --> 00:12:52.000\n I don't think I've been to the country club since I was like 13 and I would go swimming with a friend.\n\n143\n00:12:52.000 --> 00:12:53.000\n That's right.\n\n144\n00:12:53.000 --> 00:12:55.000\n And the pool is way nicer now.\n\n145\n00:12:55.000 --> 00:12:56.000\n I promise.\n\n146\n00:12:56.000 --> 00:12:58.000\n So that's really check that out.\n\n147\n00:12:58.000 --> 00:13:00.000\n But so we all have to eat.\n\n148\n00:13:00.000 --> 00:13:05.000\n And in the summertime, I feel like food options like come out of the word work.\n\n149\n00:13:05.000 --> 00:13:12.000\n I will probably be talking about the foco food truck rally every week because we try to try to try something new.\n\n150\n00:13:12.000 --> 00:13:14.000\n And so this week is no exception.\n\n151\n00:13:14.000 --> 00:13:17.000\n And so I tried tacos Diablo for the first time.\n\n152\n00:13:17.000 --> 00:13:20.000\n And it was delicious.\n\n153\n00:13:20.000 --> 00:13:26.000\n The first thing that caught my eye though was that they were lowering their prices when we walked up.\n\n154\n00:13:26.000 --> 00:13:31.000\n So I'm not sure why I don't know if they weren't getting the traction of the other food trucks at the rally.\n\n155\n00:13:31.000 --> 00:13:37.000\n They decided to adjust, but it worked because as I walked up, then a line formed behind me.\n\n156\n00:13:37.000 --> 00:13:43.000\n So I love that they could adjust and make things work to kind of make the rally work for them.\n\n157\n00:13:43.000 --> 00:13:47.000\n But I love an orchata and theirs was delicious.\n\n158\n00:13:47.000 --> 00:13:52.000\n It has kind of like that grainy in the bottom where you know that they mixed it in the cup.\n\n159\n00:13:52.000 --> 00:13:53.000\n It was so good.\n\n160\n00:13:53.000 --> 00:13:54.000\n So that was delicious.\n\n161\n00:13:54.000 --> 00:13:56.000\n I also had a carne asada burrito.\n\n162\n00:13:56.000 --> 00:13:58.000\n Also very good.\n\n163\n00:13:58.000 --> 00:14:03.000\n We did have the quesabarilla and the sauce was a little different than most burritos that I've had.\n\n164\n00:14:03.000 --> 00:14:07.000\n So you might want to check that out and just kind of compare and see which one you like more.\n\n165\n00:14:07.000 --> 00:14:09.000\n What are you eating this week?\n\n166\n00:14:09.000 --> 00:14:14.000\n I cooked for me in Jill last night something that's a little unconventional.\n\n167\n00:14:14.000 --> 00:14:17.000\n But really any listener can do something like this.\n\n168\n00:14:17.000 --> 00:14:19.000\n I'll call it leftover hash.\n\n169\n00:14:19.000 --> 00:14:20.000\n Okay.\n\n170\n00:14:20.000 --> 00:14:25.000\n So I had a few slices of smoked brisket.\n\n171\n00:14:25.000 --> 00:14:28.000\n A couple of big potatoes that I smoked in the same smoker.\n\n172\n00:14:28.000 --> 00:14:32.000\n Jill had a leftover breakfast taco from Silver Grill.\n\n173\n00:14:32.000 --> 00:14:39.000\n I had about a third of my bless you of my fun day at Pisa from the Elecrunch.\n\n174\n00:14:39.000 --> 00:14:44.000\n And so I kind of just chopped it up all in a similar size.\n\n175\n00:14:44.000 --> 00:14:47.000\n Mix it together, fry it in a cast iron pan.\n\n176\n00:14:47.000 --> 00:14:51.000\n And you can add some onions or garlic to it or something if you wanted to.\n\n177\n00:14:51.000 --> 00:14:52.000\n On medium heat.\n\n178\n00:14:52.000 --> 00:14:57.000\n And then eventually when it's all kind of crispy edges and stuff scrape it to one side.\n\n179\n00:14:57.000 --> 00:15:02.000\n Fry two eggs over easy or sunny side up if you like them that way.\n\n180\n00:15:02.000 --> 00:15:08.000\n And then you just serve the hash with the yoke yoke egg on top of the hash runs all together.\n\n181\n00:15:08.000 --> 00:15:12.000\n And it is, it's a great way to, you know, I have cleaning out the fridge soup sometimes.\n\n182\n00:15:12.000 --> 00:15:13.000\n Yes.\n\n183\n00:15:13.000 --> 00:15:14.000\n This is kind of like leftover hash.\n\n184\n00:15:14.000 --> 00:15:16.000\n It's a summertime thing instead.\n\n185\n00:15:16.000 --> 00:15:20.000\n Okay, something you don't know about me is I really don't like leftovers.\n\n186\n00:15:20.000 --> 00:15:23.000\n So this seems like it's all together, fried in a pan.\n\n187\n00:15:23.000 --> 00:15:25.000\n So I'm like, okay, no, this is a new meal.\n\n188\n00:15:25.000 --> 00:15:30.000\n The thing about food is if you put a bunch of good stuff together, it almost always turns out pretty good.\n\n189\n00:15:30.000 --> 00:15:31.000\n Yes.\n\n190\n00:15:31.000 --> 00:15:38.000\n So that's the tip for the week you can have cleaning out the fridge hash whenever you find the need.\n\n191\n00:15:38.000 --> 00:15:42.000\n Yes, that's so we're going to have to try that so that I actually eat my leftovers and then doesn't have to eat them all.\n\n192\n00:15:42.000 --> 00:15:43.000\n There you go.\n\n193\n00:15:43.000 --> 00:15:48.000\n That's well, you know, over here we love local and supporting local.\n\n194\n00:15:48.000 --> 00:15:51.000\n And so let us know what you are doing this week.\n\n195\n00:15:51.000 --> 00:15:57.000\n My sister-in-law actually got to go and check out the new downtown Greeley Edison's.\n\n196\n00:15:57.000 --> 00:15:59.000\n You know, we talked about it opening a couple weeks ago.\n\n197\n00:15:59.000 --> 00:16:02.000\n She said it is as amazing as we would expect.\n\n198\n00:16:02.000 --> 00:16:05.000\n And so definitely head over and check that out.\n\n199\n00:16:05.000 --> 00:16:09.000\n But I would love to know what you guys are doing in some of the smaller towns.\n\n200\n00:16:09.000 --> 00:16:12.000\n We'd love a shout out in a Timnith or Johnstown or Berthin.\n\n201\n00:16:12.000 --> 00:16:16.000\n What are we doing to support local there and where should I check out?\n\n202\n00:16:16.000 --> 00:16:19.000\n And so let us know I need some new ideas.\n\n203\n00:16:19.000 --> 00:16:21.000\n So have a great week, Noca.\n\n204\n00:16:21.000 --> 00:16:22.000\n Thanks, Kelsey.\n","transcription_info":{"language":"en","language_probability":1,"duration":982,"duration_after_vad":982}}
